Before moving to South Lake Tahoe, my wife and our two dogs worked for a school district in Ventura, CA. Every summer we'd move out of the house we were renting and into one of my van builds and travel for two to three months around the western United States. Our trips always started and ended with extended camping around the Lake Tahoe basin. When we had the opportunity to work for the school district here in Lake Tahoe, we bought the first house we saw that we could afford and now we live here full time - working for the school district and building vans! Now that we're settled in, "van life" looks a little different than it used to. The majority of our trips are long weekends and the vans that we build reflect that. We love getting away to Santa Cruz for a quick couple days of surfing or back down to Ventura, CA for longer surf trips. With everything Tahoe has to offer, it's hard to get away unless there's good surf in the forecast. Don't hesitate to reach out if you're interested in visiting!
