Cam was great to chat to and helped organise our trip before getting to Vancouver Island. The vehicle was exactly what we needed for our trip and had plenty of space for us and all our gear. Lots of thoughtful touches including phone charging cables, wireless speakers, camping chairs, stove and gas etc. The vehicle was old but very reliable and sturdy and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the trip. Although we did have a little trouble with the battery (jumper cables available in the truck) everything else was great and we could highly recommend Cam and Lets Go Campers.

We had a wonderful time. The campervan was not in the condition we had hoped for though - lights didn't work on battery, neither did the water pump, the fridge didn't work. But it drove well on the highway, and had everything we could need really, and we had a great time! The owners were very responsive when we had difficulty and communicated with us well. They were also open to the suggestions I made to improve the van.

Very friendly & reasonable, easy to deal with, everything as promised & described, fair price. Removed 1 star due to some slow communications / minor miscommunications at the booking phase, and around pickup.

Trip was great, rig ran good. Small dripping leak from the roof, interior upholstery side paneling fell off not a huge deal, CD player/stereo did not work at all. Day before we arrived we were informed that we weren’t getting the same van that we had booked due to an issue. Cam was very easy to deal with.

Our Camper van did a great job and we had a really beautiful trip all over Vancouver island. Of course, it´s a old van, and you have to like these kind of things, so don´t expect all the conveniences of a new one. The Camper had brand new tires, a good fridge, a good heater, a place to setup and cook outside as well, and a really really good Bluetooth speaker we could use without leaving the van radio on and risk draining the battery...a nice touch. Pickup was easy and connecting was easy and helpful, quick on the phone for any questions.
download your favorite songs as there's not much reception.. Everything else is in the van.

Perfectly simple, perfectly equipped vans for our adventure!
Loved the nostalgic and cozy comfort of the well cared go anywhere van we got.

We had a really good experience! Cam round a VW camper car for us with a low cost the same hour we asked!! He also Walter for us to arrive even if it was closing in a Friday night. He saved our trip!! Also gave us some ponchos and drove us at the bus station after our trip. It was our best traveling expérience. We recommend this business if you need a camping car! Perfect service, humain, kindless, patient. Thank you!

My partner and I rented Seymour for the week and had a great time cruising around the the island in it. The van itself ran very well, even when climbing all those hills to Tofino, and was really fun to drive. We got lots of looks and compliments on it too, a great conversation starter that helped us meet people on the way around! It is a 1986 though, and as one would expect it did have some quirks. Nothing causing any real issues though!
Cam was super easy to work with, a really friendly guy, and even gave us some great recommendations for our road trip. We booked it super last minute and he was very accommodating. We appreciated all the amenities these guys had thought to add to the van, from an axe to cooking supplies, solar gear and everything van related for almost any weather. Would definitely recommend Lets Go Campers s for your road trip!

Pick up and drop off of the van worked pretty well.
But, there were A LOT of issues with the van that we were NOT made aware of on pick-up.
For one the van was missing a screw in the ceiling fan and created a leak, which then soaked all of our bedding. We were only give one thin sleeping bag between the two of us in the middle of September..

Lets Go’s answer

Hi !
Oh gosh - The AIr-Horn is for wild animals! we provide off-grid capable, backroad-ready camper vans; We have traditionally included ' Bear-Horns' for our camper's hiking comfort and remote camping safety.
To any of our other customers reading; Extra comforters and quilts are no problem, just let us know.
A sleeping bag is commonly included to be used unzipped as an extra extra blanket when the already provided duvet and 2nd blanket may not be enough.
We are always available 24/7 to our camping customers when 'in-rental', with a dedicated line for any questions or any other comfort-related concern.
Commonly vent caps can be re-seated with ease, or even replaced if needed in under 15 minutes. It is important to ensure they are fully closed before driving as the wind can upset the way any manufacturer designs its closures.
If over-the-phone instruction can not remedy the situation, we are always able to show up anywhere on the island or direct our customers to one of the quality shops we have a relationship with, island-wide.
Unfortunately, any fasteners such as the screw would be for trim, which is not a sealing factor.

The camper van is very noisy. A screw on the door frame caught my finger and caused a puncture injury. My husband caught his jeans on the side door, which caused so large a rip that we had to throw them out. The bed is too hard for a comfortable sleep. We would prefer to sleep on our mats in our tent! The windshield wipers are poor and noisy. They only work on one setting. The van lacks a radio. There is no 12-volt to charge our GPS, so we were driving without direction’s. The cooler dropped constantly, setting the floor and everything on it. We emptied it as soon as we could.

Buttercup provided everything we needed for our 4 day adventure to Tofino plus lots of storage space for personal gear and a comfy spacious bed. So thankful for the easy roll-out awning during the West Coast downpours. . What a ride...Buttercup gets the looks!

We rented Buttercup for a week and went North up the island. I’d say Buttercup is more of a lone Wolf, we found her great on the back roads but a bit trickier to maneuver in the city. Definitely felt comfortable driving down logging roads. Good breaks, good tires.

Seymore is an older van, but still quite comfortable and the amenities are as advertised, which is where the 2 stars come in.

Bumble Wasp is very old but runs well, good engine. The exhaust fumes were bad at times when the van was stationary. The lack of a grey tank made it difficult to wash dishes since the dirty water poured out at the bottom. The overhead sleeping space can only be used for storage since it’s next to impossible to climb up there. The pullout sofa was not comfortable for me. Had to buy a mattress topper to make it softer to sleep on. The van was well stocked. Very rustic interior.
Management was decent!
