We're a family of 4 who love to raft, kayak, bike and ski, and mostly use our van and RV as support for those, but in these weird times we've been using our trailer for some "road school" as well. Very knowledgable about the western USA and happy to share recommendations to anyone.

I built this van to be a versatile people and stuff hauler for my active family, and for towing our 30-foot trailer.***
There are three rows of seats, so seatbelts for 8 people. The seats are equipped with a versatile Molle based organization system on the back. Behind those seats, there is a large cargo area that can be configured in multiple ways. There is a platform that holds a queen-sized very comfy air mattress, with tons of room to store camping gear, clothes, sports equipment, etc. If you need to haul big stuff, like bicycles, the bed platform removes easily. 4 full-sized mountain bikes can fit easily. On the roof, there is a pop-up tent that comfortably sleeps two. Two inflatable beds can also be put on the bench seats, these are best for folks under 5'6" or so, but it is very possible to sleep 6 in this van. Behind the tent, there is roof rack space for whatever else you'd like to carry, like kayaks, surfboards, or skis. Message me with your trip, people, and gear needs and I'll let you know if and how the van can be best set up to best meet those needs.
The van is not the newest or fanciest model but is reliable, versatile, and comfy. The radio has been upgraded to have Bluetooth, Apple, and Android compatibility, and we have installed a backup camera. There is a tow hitch with wiring for 4 or 7 blade trailers, though there is an extra charge for towing. The van includes rechargeable lanterns for lighting at night and a portable solar panel and battery pack for charging your devices when parked.
We can include some or most of the camping gear you need. Please see the extras section for details. ***We also list our 30-foot travel trailer on this site and do offer a discount if you wish to rent both van and trailer. This is an awesome combo as the van makes a great rig for exploring while the trailer is parked, and a good garage for toys when hauling the trailer.
What's included
Includes Rooftop tent, Yakima roof rack, all bed options, rechargeable lanterns, portable solar panel and battery pack. Also includes a moveable sunshade/awning and campchairs.
Recommendations
This is an awesome rig for weekends at Joshua Tree climbing and hiking, mountain bike trips to Utah, kayak trips, surf weekends, or as a support vehicle for a self-guided bike tour of the southwest. We've taken it all over the western USA, and it's worked great for our active family.
Other things to note
The van is a 3500 series heavy-duty truck. Simple but well-thought-out. The van has some rattles and a few small dings from adventures, and isn't the fastest machine, but gets where it needs to and brings a ton of stuff while still fitting in regular parking spots.
