RecommendationsThe Solis is perfect for short or long trips to the mountains, beach or anywhere in between. It’s fully equipped and ready for fun – just grab your clothes, jump in the van and go!Other things to noteWe have a few house rules:
- Please clean the Solis after use. We charge a $50 fee to clean and sanitize the van after your rental. If the van requires professional cleaning, there is a $200 charge.
- Empty the waste water cassette and gray water tank before you return the vehicle. If you leave them for us to empty, there is a $150 charge for us to empty the cassette and $50 for the gray water tank.
- Return topped off with gas. If you are unable, you will be charged the cost of the gas + $50.
- Only use provided toilet paper. Do not put any other foreign materials into the toilet, including non-approved toilet paper, paper towels, wipes and feminine hygiene products. RV tanks aren’t built for this and it will result in clogs, which require additional cleaning fees.
- Solar panels on roof will charge batteries. 120V power (and air conditioner) will only work when hooked up to external power or running the generator.
- Must have/add verified drivers to take the van out. The verified drivers must be the only drivers of the van.
- Please report any accidents and damage involving the vehicle to us and the police within 24 hours of occurrence.
- Due to added potential of damage and wear and tear to the van, we do not allow the use of trailers.
And the main rule: HAVE FUN!

Immaculate van and an amazing host. Susan was extremely knowledgeable and had us on out way in minutes. She walked us through all the systems and even had a laminated binder for reference. My kids can't wait to go on our next trip in the same van. Thanks for an awesome weekend!

We cannot say emphasize or say enough about what a WONDERFUL experience we had renting Susan's Solis Sprinter Van for our Spring Break trip to Savannah and Charleston. She provided clear and concise instructions at check in. She also provided an instruction book to reference as questions arose during the trip. Finally, the checkout process was seamless and easy.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Yes. We will provide you with an operation manual that describes tips, tricks, and best practices for operating the van. It is surprisingly easy to drive, operate, and maneuver. We will also send you a link to many short how-to videos for the Solis P59X.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
The van is equipped to run on external (shore) power and an external water source. The operations manual will give you step by step instructions on how to engage and disengage each of these. And how to run without them! The van does not have sewage hook ups; instead, it uses a convenient waste water cassette that is easy to remove and dump at most camp sites.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We will work with you to optimize pick up and drop off of the van. We can deliver with a 10 mile radius of uptown Charlotte. We are also happy to meet at a mutually agreeable location. Pick up and drop off times are between normal business hours unless otherwise arranged.
