5We had a great time on our first family RV trip. We took Crystal and Ryan's rig all the way to California and back over a month in January 2021. There were minor issues and the unit has some wear and tear but those were expected and it worked out great. Crystal spent as long as we needed going through everything at the start of the rental - including a test drive - and was available any time we had questions or issues during the trip. We were able to boondock several nights including a night in the Joshua Tree NP area. The unit performed marvelously since Crystal and Ryan have it outfitted with a sweet solar system which only takes a few hours to fully recharge on a sunny day. We had such a great time that we are considering an Airstream purchase.

5Crystal and Ryan explained everything in detail and were available to answer questions about setup when we arrived at our destination. The trailer towed with ease. The owner provided a weight distribution anti sway hitch. The kitchen could use some updated utensils such as tongs and a tea pot or coffee maker. Overall a great experience and we would rent again.

5Our experience with the Whites was absolutely exceptional. They are a great couple and extremely helpful and considerate. These are the kind of folks that you would want to be your neighbors. The Airstream was absolutely fantastic, and we would GLADLY rent it again in the future.

5We have rented a several RV's or Trailers from this site, and this was absolutely the best one hands down. The keys for us were - Crystal's communication and ability to be reached was incredible. That is always a worry when in the middle of the woods and something goes wrong to know that the owner is extremely responsive. - The time spent at pick up for "Orientation" of the airstream was huge. She even took the time to ride with me till felt comfortable towing. That was huge! - The Airstream was in very good condition and did not feel like a rental unit. It was very clean and comfortable. The AC was amazing especially since it was 95 degrees. Overall - If you are looking for a memorable trip, I would absolutely suggest this Airstream from Crystal. We stayed at FDR State park and got a site right on the water with full hook-ups and that was a fantastic place to go. Easy to get to if you are new to towing and not far from the pick up station of the Airstream. I added some photos that I took from our trip.

3Just for some background - we rented the Airstream for a time period of 3 weeks for our cross-country road trip. I’d like to start off the review by saying that the Airstream as an RV was fantastic and despite some mishaps along the way, we had a great time on our vacation. However, there are a couple pointers worth noting: 1. Mechanical Maintenance: We ran into multiple issues with the Airstream. The most notable being the loss of the hitch, which could’ve resulted in a catastrophic accident. The reason for this mishap was the lack of basic maintenance / replacement of parts (found on the hitch) that clearly showed too much wear and tear. During our trip we had to replace almost every original hair pin, as well as visit the auto shop in order to replace the main bolt on the hitch due to the fact that these parts were either completely rusted or were missing pieces. Our encounter of losing the hitch was completely avoidable had the proper due diligence been exercised by the owner. The water filter that was provided was overused (far beyond the stated life expectancy of a water filter) and broke during our trip. Thus, we had to make another detour to a hardware store to purchase a new water filter. We also ended up having to refill both propane tanks, despite being told prior to departure from Crystal’s that they were pretty full. 2. Communication: Crystal was very responsive and available whenever we had any questions or issues. However, anything beyond the bare minimum basic knowledge, we were directed to read the manual and essentially figure it out on our own (e.g. the hosts did not know how to operate the fridge via the propane tank or how to fill up the water tank). All in all, this is one of the best RV trailers you can rent with fantastic features and a timeless design, but with all the issues/inconveniences (many being avoidable) that arose during our trip, we can honestly only give 3 stars.
