Perfect Family Camper - 2021 Winnebago Solis
Perfect Family Camper - 2021 Winnebago Solis

Want to camp all alone on a mountain rim at 10,000' feet? You can do that! How about under a massive wall of red sandstone in the middle of nowhere in Utah? You can do that too!
This rig is the perfect size for an adventurous couple or family. Sleeps four with two adults down below and up to two kids (or one adult) in the airy pop-top and there are screens all around to let the air in and the bugs out. Unlike most campervans of this type, this rig has a 3 inch lift for more clearance, skid plates which will allow you to get into more remote spots off the beaten path, and upgraded suspension (but it's NOT 4X4 road capable!).
Equipped with a 16 gallon water tank, very capable fridge/freezer combo, interior sink and induction stove plus an additional outdoor 2 burner gas cooktop, full kitchen kit, and table, you can set up your basecamp and spend your time exploring the neighborhood. Fully insulated with a powerful heating unit, it's also a good winter rig for a ski road trip or some winter desert exploration.
Ground mat, full kitchen kit (silverware, utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups, spices), 2 burner propane stove with griddle plate, 4 camp chairs, extra water container(s) (6 gallons and 5 gallons as needed), hammock, camp games, sheets/blankets/towels, groover toilet system and privacy tent, traction boards/levelers, trash/firewood bag, Bluetooth speakers for music around camp.
No smoking of anything please.
While there is a lift on the van, it is not capable of traveling on 4X4 roads that are steep, loose, excessively rocky, or very narrow.

I'm a Colorado native that has been exploring and camping throughout the Colorado Plateau for my entire life. I live in Durango, Colorado with my wife and 7 year old and work as a bike and ski coach as well as a filmmaker. A few friends call me "Rand McNally" since I know most of the roads and a lot of off-the-grid routes, sights, and camp spots and am always happy to share, so feel free to ask for recommendations if you are renting our van!
