Brian gets a 5 star rating for customer service and for his trailer. I ran into some issues at the campground unrelated to his rental. He drove a 2 hour round trip journey the day after my rental started to troubleshoot issues I was experiencing so that it could be safe for my 3 year old (temperatures were in the low 20s). I even donated some dvds the next renter can enjoy 😊. 10/10 will be renting again for future trips.

My husband and I had a great time camping in the mountains in this solitude. We brought a generator, extra propane, extra water and batteries and boondocked at 10,000ft for 5 days then came down to Chatfield RV Park with full hookups for 2 days. It was great and Brian was extremely easy to work with.

Brian is a great partner to work with. His communication, advice, and attention to customer service are outstanding. He goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need for a successful trip.
Grand Design is known for it's great construction quality, and this trailer still has great mechanics; it pulls great, and the brakes, wheels, axles and slides took everything we threw at it over our 2200 mile trip.
Unfortunately, the trailer has accumulated some rough wear, and is beginning to show it's age. The black tank proved difficult to drain, as the tank valve is not operating correctly. Brian confirms this has been a problem since he bought the trailer. There is a serious risk of spillage, which is not good.
The battery is not up for boon-docking, and could not power the fridge overnight, and drained the battery to the point where we had to jump it to get enough power to drive the jacks.
The propane tanks should have been filled, but were not. We had to refill the tanks during our trip, and to secure them in their respective housings, as they were loose.
The A\C units on the roof have become fouled with cottonwood seed debris, and minimized the efficacy of the A/C in the 90+ degree heat. We cleaned out one unit, and it worked much better.
Unfortunately, the cleaning service leaves a lot to be desired. We found food debris and dirt throughout the trailer from prior renters that had not been cleaned up. We paid for cleaning, so I hope the next person gets a clean living space and clean tanks.
Bottom line, Brian is great to work with, but his "crown jewel" needs some tender loving care to keep it from becoming a "hanger queen". Use this trailer for long weekends, but don't use for long trips or boon-docking.... she will break your heart!
