Yosemite 2500 Bessie the Promaster w/ 900W Solar

Primoz is a very comfy and tiny van with a lot of storage. Thanks to its automatic transmission, it drives like a car and is very fuel efficient (30MPG). It features a custom conversion fully equipped with a full size bed, complete insulation of walls and ceilling, birch wood paneling. 2x100w solar panels on the roof to power lights (dimmable), usb and cigar sockets to charge your electronics, and a little fridge to keep the beers cool. Tons of storage space under the bed for all your adventure gears. This van is perfect for a completely off grid and low gas cost road trip.

Easy 5 star! Rented for 6 night trip to Eastern Sierras and yosemite. Uber ride was $22 and no more than 15 mins from the airport! Pick up was super quick and everything was easy to use. ZERO MECHANICAL ISSUES! Well maintained. We hit so many spots, so the smaller size was perfect for alpine driving and parking in busy parks like Yosemite. Has a back up cam. Great on gas. Storage wise, fit a duffle bag and two backcountry packs. Electric fridge never ran out of juice with the solar setup. Plenty of spots to charge all your devices. He gives you all you need from an axe to a wine opener. The water jug was 4gal but he let me Amazon a 7 gallon (which I left with him so that's probably an option now). All the showers were closed due to covid so that was clutch. The bed was a bit harder than I like, but I had my 2 inch sleep pad to put on top, but without one its definitely manageable and way better than tent camping. All linens were provided and super warm. All you'll need is a towel. Gas burner worked great and really small so you won't need to bring your own if you backpack on the trip. Basile was super chill too, he provided up with GPS coordinates to an absolute phenomenal campsite which had an insanely good view. We left some stuff in the camper and he was willing to ship it back. He's not uptight by any means so a small scratch will not be taken out of your deposit which is always so nice. To me, a renter is just as important as the type of campervan you pick out. Only complaint was probably the mileage allowance. We did a lot of driving up through a bunch passes then to Yosemite so we definitely went over the 100 mi a day allowane by a few hundred miles but nothing super expensive. Was still much cheaper than all the other rentals because he doesn't nail you with all the ridiculous fees on outdoorsy. So I'd just map out your trip accordingly. We did a lot of back tracking, I imagine we would have been fine if we were more prepared and planned our hikes. Overall, renter was very genuine and extremely accommodating. Flawless process. Campervan is great if you're a frequent traveler on a budget or plan on backpacking. Would definitrly rent again as the small size makes things so much easier to constantly hit hikes and drive through the mountains.

Had a fantastic time! Rented the van from Basile for a week in January, travelling to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.
The van had comfortable storage for a week's worth of cold weather gear and food, as well as all the frills involved in a trip. The van is very compact and drives like a car - and for a first time van trip, this was very comfortable. The mileage was pretty good as well. The outside temperature went in the 20's for a few nights in a row but in the bed it never got cold. Basile was also super helpful and made pickup and dropoff very convenient!
