Since you’re staying in the heart of it, you’ll have loads of time to spend in Moraine View State Park. Enjoy fishing, boating, and swimming in the clear waters, and spend some time just walking through forests of oak, black walnut, hickory, and elm. Bring some of the snacks with you for a lovely picnic by the beach, and keep your eyes open for a beaver or some wildflowers. If you’re in the area in the wintertime, the trails are ideal for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. If you’re lucky, the ice will even be thick enough for skating and ice fishing.Would you like some bigger fish to fry, at least figuratively speaking? Then hop into that RV rental and head to Clinton Lake State Recreation Area. Here you can have all sorts of watery fun, including any beach activities you’d want to give a go. You can drive motorboats or go sailing, and the fishing here is outstanding - so good that there are regular tournaments. Of course, there’s hiking as well, and you can try your skills at the archery range, which is wheelchair-friendly.If you’ve had enough of the great outdoors for now but still want a bit of nature’s finest, then drive to Bloomington and Miller Park Zoo. Fun for the whole family (or just adults who are kids at heart), here you can see large cats such as snow leopards and Sumatran tigers, other mammals like red pandas and red wolves, as well as both birds and reptiles. Check out the Tropical American Rainforest, Katthoefer Animal Building, or Wallaby WalkAbout to get a feel of the natural habitats.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
