Jubilee College State Park just outside of Peoria, Illinois, is truly an outdoors experience. The site are large and grassy, with only electricity. There is water available and a shower house. The campground host will be happy to help you find a spot and tell you about the things to do in the area. There are miles upon miles of hiking and biking trails.The hiking trails will take you through a backcountry hiking experience without having to leave the path. This is a place of peace and quiet. You can expect to see butterflies, dragonflies, deer, frogs and salamanders. Watch out for wild turkeys! Fish for bass and bluegill in the pond. Enjoy your lunch outdoors under a pavilion in the shade. You will find this out of the way park full of nature delights, and the preserved 19th century college structures, and an interesting cemetery with fascinating headstones and history. This basic park is very woodsy and will get you close to nature.
Kamp Komfort and RV Park is located in McClean County Illinois only minutes away from Bloomington. The RV Park that feature pull-through sites, 30/50 amp and full hookup.The owners and staff are great people, friendly, warm, and welcoming. Campground overall was very well maintained. Grass and shrubbery all neatly cut. All the sites are gravel and level sites.Sites were gravel and all were level. This is a no frills RV Park but they do offer basic services that include Wi Fi, restrooms, swimming pool, and playground. Kamp Komfort is a nice spot to relax as enjoy this part of central Illinois, Bloomington is very close and you are not that far away from other central Illinois cities such as Champaign and Peoria. One of the best kept secrets of this part of Illinois is the Cajun Connection located Utica. The Cajun Connection features authentic Cajun cuisine in a intimate rural setting. Utica is about a 1 hour north of Bloomington.

Weldon Springs State Park is about 20 miles north of Decatur, Illinois. The sites are spacious and rustic but do have electricity. There is a bathroom and showers which are kept clean. This pretty park can accommodate big rigs and also has tent camping. There is a playground for kids, but the big draw of this place is the natural environment. Fish for catfish and bluegill in the lake, or try to find turtles or tree frogs. Bring a kayak and paddle the lake alongside the muskrat, ducks, and geese. Take the 2-mile hike around the lake and marvel at the power of nature and her attempts to take back what is hers. There is an old school house that can be visited at certain times of the year. This park has a feeling of serenity and calm. Spend the peaceful evening around your campfire and listen to the stillness of the great outdoors. Clinton, Illinois is right nearby if you need supplies or want to have a restaurant meal.
Miillpoint Campground & RV Park is located in East Peoria right on the Illinois River. It features a peaceful and serene environment with large, beautiful shade tree, spacious campsites, and gracious hosts. The large sites make it very easy for bigger RVs to maneuver without any difficulty. Recreation activities include walking trails, recreation room, gym/workout facilities, beach access, boat ramp, and marina. The Campsite is family friendly with a playground and pet area.The Campground offers pull-through sites, big rig access, tent camping, restrooms, showers, 30 amp/50 amp, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi. Mill Point RV Park is a great location to simply sit back, relax, and chill or to enjoy the natural beauty of Illinois River. This part of Illinois is scenic with lots to do. Peoria is considered by many to be the quintessential American city. You will enjoy exploring the sights and sounds of Peoria and surrounding areas and then having a cozy and comfortable spot to come back to.
