2019 Thor Four Winds 26b -- "Windy"

Our family's home-away-from-home on wheels is perfect for local camping or a long haul across the country. It is easy to make camp with our user-friendly kitchen (note the large sink, oven, three-burner stove, microwave, and an electric skillet we have included for your convenience). We keep a mini Keurig on board for you as well. The fridge and freezer are roomy enough for all your essentials. The queen-sized bed in the rear is flanked by windows to enjoy the evening breeze and there is a second sleeping space over the cab (note the netting that keeps little ones from rolling off the edge). The bathroom is surprisingly roomy with a large medicine cabinet. A skylight in the shower creates extra headroom if you're closer to Cameron's height than Lauren's... And the foot-flushing toilet is pleasantly easy to use!
When you're not out on the trails or exploring nature, you can enjoy the air-conditioning or heating as well as the 40" TV with DVD player. Your drive will be comfortable and safe with 2 safety belts in the dinette and 2 more on the jackknife sofa (which folds out into a bed if you need extra sleeping space). Two child-seats can fit comfortably in the dinette when the table is lowered. There are outlets throughout the coach and lights in intuitive places. We hope you have just as much fun in it as we do!
Towing Capacity: 8,000 lbs; Gvwr: 12,500 lbs

Important Note:
There are 6 seatbelts total in this unit despite being listed as sleeping 8 people!
Thor, the RV manufacturer, indicates that the 26b sleeps 8 people, but we feel that it really only sleeps 6 comfortably (2 in the queen bed, 2 in the loft, 1 on the fold-down dinette bed, and 1 on the fold-down jackknife sofa bed). You Could sleep 8 in it, but it just wouldn't be that comfy in our opinion!
.

What's included

Kitchen: NO CHARGE for basic utensils and cookware!

Your kitchen will be stocked with basic cooking utensils and supplies, such as: cutting boards, a 5qt stockpot with built-in strainer, a small saucepot, 10-inch skillet, assorted mixing bowls, hot pads, hand towels, forks, spoons, knives, etc. We also provide a variety of acrylic drinking glasses and paper products (paper plates, bowls, napkins, & paper towels). You’ll have an electric skillet and a mini-Keurig coffee maker on board for your convenience. The handful of coffee pods we include for the Keurig are yours for the drinkin’ but you might want to stock up on a few more in advance of your trip!

Linens: NO CHARGE for the basics! Bathroom towels upon request (2 sets, also free)

The bed and the loft will each be prepared for your stay with mattress/pillow covers, fresh sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and a blanket. Please let us know if you want bath towels provided...we are happy to oblige if requested.

Recommendations

We highly recommend that you watch this informative (and funny) video on how to properly use an RV toilet!

https://youtu.be/XVz65zSx6E4?t=174

Here's a link to a professional video walkthrough of the same model and year as the Windy RV. Please keep in mind that there are a few things that are different on Windy from the rig shown in the video: ours does NOT have a TV on the outside; our front seats are woven cloth not leather, and ours did not come with a glass cover for the stovetop. Other than that it's pretty much the same!

Cameron was awesome! He did a great job explaining everything I needed to know about his camper. I was super nervous about driving and setting one up by myself, but felt totally confident after he showed me how everything worked and I had no issues throughout the trip!

April 20225

Renting from Cameron and Lauren was an excellent experience. Cameron made certain we were comfortable with all of the functions of the RV before we left. Our communication during the entire process was terrific. The RV was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. I highly recommend renting from Cameron and Lauren. We had a wonderful trip!!

100/10 experience in this awesome RV! Cameron was so helpful and thorough with us on walk through. This was our first time in a real RV (not a trailer) and he was so incredibly knowledgeable. We went to Big Bend State and National and were able to easily boondock for our whole trip of 5 nights in the parks. Our spots in the parks weren't paved and the RV handled it great. We loved the space and found it to be just enough room but also not too much. We had 2 adults and 3 kids under 11 and it was perfect for us! Easy to drive, easy to maneuver, had all the things we needed preloaded, etc. We loved it SO much! We will be back again Cameron!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.What's included in the kitchen?
A.
The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking utensils and supplies, such as: cutting boards, a 5qt stockpot with built-in strainer, a small saucepot, 10-inch skillet, assorted mixing bowls, hot pads, hand towels, forks, spoons, knives, etc. We also provide a variety of acrylic drinking glasses and paper products (paper plates, bowls, napkins, & paper towels). We have an electric skillet and a mini-Keurig coffee maker on board, along with a handful of coffee pods, for your convenience.

Q.What's on board the RV with regard to bedding and towels?
A.
Our standard protocol is that the queen bed and the loft will each be prepared for your stay with mattress/pillow covers, fresh sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and a blanket. If you plan to use either of the fold-down beds (dinette or jackknife couch) you will need to provide additional bedding for these. Please let us know if you also want two sets of bath towels provided...we are happy to oblige!

Q.Do y'all allow renters to tow a vehicle behind your RV?
A.
We do allow towing with the Windy RV! Many RV owners charge a per-mile fee for towing, which can add up fast! We do not charge per mile if y’all want to tow a vehicle with our rig…instead we simply charge a $225 flat fee for towing to cover the extra wear and tear on the RV. This charge is added to your bill after you return from your trip. Ask us about towing and we’ll send you more info!

Q.Do y'all have a place where we can park our vehicle during our trip?
A.
Yes! Just select the park-n-ride add-on and you can park your vehicle in our 24hr secure RV storage unit during your trip and pick it up when you return! Please message us to indicate that you want this option...after we give you the keys to the rig we'll follow you to the covered storage to get your vehicle parked safe and sound!
