Henry Lake Campground

Located in Gogebic County 9 miles southwest of the town of Marenisco, Mi., on the Bessemer Ranger District in the southern half of the Ottawa National Forest. Henry Lake Campground is a single loop campground with 11 campsites that are spaced with natural vegetation for screening. Henry Lake Campground provides drive-in sites that can accommodate tents, trailers, and motor homes. Each site offers an accessible wood table, fire ring and parking spur. Two single vault toilets are located near the fee station, while water is provided in the camping loop.  Located adjacent to the campground is a boat landing, an accessible toilet, and a trail to an accessible fishing pier providing access to a variety of game fish.


Driving directions to Henry Lake Campground

From Bessemer, Mi., travel east on US 2 approximately 13 miles and turn right (south) onto Dunham Road, travel approximately 3 miles and turn right (south) onto FR 8100, travel approximately 4 ½ miles to the campground.From Watersmeet, Mi., travel west on US 2 approximately 28 miles and turn left onto M 64, travel approximately 3 1/2 miles and turn right onto FR 8300, travel approximately 5 miles and turn left onto FR 8100, travel approximately 3 miles to the campground.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
