In particular, this area is known for white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, wild turkey, and woodcock hunting. There are designated sections for hunting within the game area. Be sure to check the most up-to-date hunting regulations for this area before you go. The game area is also an excellent place for bird watching. The Cass River runs through it and is a great place for canoeing. You can access the river from the campground and paddle north toward the state game area. When you book an RV in Tuscola County, consider spending some time at the Murphy Lake State Game Area near Millington. Murphy Lake is an excellent destination for fishing, and you can find a wide variety of different types of fish. Some of the fish species here include crappie, catfish, bass, bluegill, pike, walleye, and sunfish, just to name a few. There isn't a boat launch here, so you'll need to fish from the shore. You can also go hunting in designated sections in the surrounding area. When you go motorhome camping at Wesleyan Woods Campground, you'll be just a short drive away from the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge. It's a very popular fishing destination in this portion of Michigan and is also a favorite place for bird watching; during your visit, you may see egrets, geese, and warbler. The refuge is very important for birds migrating north at various points during the year. There is an extensive system of hiking trails within the wildlife refuge, as well as designated hunting areas. Hunting in the wildlife refuge is only allowed during certain times of the year to preserve the habitat.

There is also an abundance of beautiful architecture in Saginaw, and one of the most notable buildings to check out while you're here is the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History. This museum showcases the history of the area in a gorgeous building dating back to 1898.If you want to take a more extended day trip while camping near Vassar, head down to Detroit and visit the largest city in Michigan. One of the most beautiful places to visit in Detroit is Belle Isle Park, which is on an island in the Detroit River and home to a zoo, gardens, and an aquarium. Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
