Overview
Jo Bonner Campground is located at the Northeastern end of Canyon Ferry Reservoir; 30 miles east of Helena, Montana. It's a quaint campground offers 17 campsites and easy access to a quiet bay. I floating dock is seasonaly avalible at a gravel boat ramp located directly next to the campground.
Recreation
Canyon Ferry Reservoir offers a wide range of year-round recreational opportunities. Water related activities include everything from swimming and fishing to sailing and motor-boating. Canoeists and kayakers explore the many quiet backwater bays. Jet skiers, windsurfers and water skiers skim the summer waves, while winter draws ice fishermen, ice boaters and ice skaters.
Facilities
Jo Bonner Campground is a campground with 17 campsites. The campground has gravel roads and campsites. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring. During the recreation season facilities at Jo Bonner campground include two vault toilets, potable water, trash dumpster, and a campground host.
Natural Features
Jo Bonner Campground sits on a quiet bay at the northern end of Canyon Ferry Reservoir between the Big Belt and Elkhorns mountain ranges. Magpie creek runs into the lake right next to the campground.


Driving directions to Jo Bonner Campground

Heading north along MT highway 12/287 from Townsend, MT, turn right onto Spokane Creek Rd. Follow Spokane Creek Rd for 4.6 miles and turn right onto Co Rd 430/Canyon Ferry Rd and continue 17 miles.. Turn right on to East Shore DR and continue straight to Jo Bonner Campground.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
