The Great Outdoors

Mount Washington provides incredible hiking and outdoor recreation opportunities when you're RV camping at Glen Ellis Family Campground. The campground is located in the mountain valley, and this is one of the closest natural parks where you can enjoy nature and wildlife watching, scenic driving, hiking, rock climbing, and so much more. With a 6,288-foot peak, this mountain is the highest in the whole northeastern region of the United States. If you want to reach Mount Washington Summit, the most common way is to start at the Tuckerman Ravine Trail. This is the easiest way to the summit, but there are other trails and also a road where you can drive or go on a tour bus almost to the top of the mountain.Mount Lafayette is right next to Mount Washington, and it is the highest point of the Franconia Range. There are many hiking trails available, leading up to 3,000 feet high. Some of the most common choices for hiking are The Greenleaf Trail, The Bridle Path, and the Franconia Ridge Trail, which is part of the Appalachian Trail. The views from those trails are stunning, with wonderful forests, mountain peaks, waterfalls, and wildlife. Other than hiking, here you can enjoy rock climbing, scenic driving, photography, and nature viewing.White Mountain National Forest is a gorgeous natural park covered in hardwood forests and with beautiful views of alpine peaks. It spreads over eastern New Hampshire and western Maine, and it offers breathtaking scenery, crystal-clear mountain lakes and creeks, and wildlife watching opportunities. Here you can go hiking, camping, or skiing. There are over 1,200 miles of hiking and biking trails, and about 400 miles of snowmobiling trails in the forest. Enjoy scenic driving or kayaking on one of the lakes, or just relax surrounded by beautiful nature.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
