In The Mount Washington Valley, close to the border with Maine, this Bartlett, NH campground has a lot of outdoor recreational opportunities, including amazing hiking trails. The campground is under two hours' drive from Portland in Maine, on the Atlantic coast, and a little over two hours' drive from Manchester, New Hampshire.

At Glen Ellis Family Campground, there's a camp store, a laundromat, an arcade, and an ice cream barn. When you camp in an RV here, you can expect to find friendly hosts and a family-oriented atmosphere. There are also clean restrooms and showers, sites with full or water and electric-only hookups, fire rings at every campsite, and gorgeous views. You can choose if you want your campsite to be by one of two rivers or inside the forest. Playgrounds and sports courts are also available and very well maintained.

This is an ideal place for outdoor lovers, with thousands of miles of hiking and biking trails where you can explore beautiful nature, rivers and streams, waterfalls, caves, and so much more. The Great Outdoors

Mount Washington provides incredible hiking and outdoor recreation opportunities when you're RV camping at Glen Ellis Family Campground. The campground is located in the mountain valley, and this is one of the closest natural parks where you can enjoy nature and wildlife watching, scenic driving, hiking, rock climbing, and so much more. With a 6,288-foot peak, this mountain is the highest in the whole northeastern region of the United States. If you want to reach Mount Washington Summit, the most common way is to start at the Tuckerman Ravine Trail. This is the easiest way to the summit, but there are other trails and also a road where you can drive or go on a tour bus almost to the top of the mountain.

Mount Lafayette is right next to Mount Washington, and it is the highest point of the Franconia Range. There are many hiking trails available, leading up to 3,000 feet high. Some of the most common choices for hiking are The Greenleaf Trail, The Bridle Path, and the Franconia Ridge Trail, which is part of the Appalachian Trail. The views from those trails are stunning, with wonderful forests, mountain peaks, waterfalls, and wildlife. White Mountain National Forest is a gorgeous natural park covered in hardwood forests and with beautiful views of alpine peaks.
