Hickory Nut Falls Family Campground is located near the small town of Chimney Rock, in the far western region of North Carolina. The nearest larger town is Hendersonville, which is around 15 miles to the southwest, while the nearest larger city is Asheville, at around 25 miles to the northwest. The big city of Charlotte is about 100 miles to the east. This portion of the state is located within the forested Blue Ridge Mountains and sits less than 25 miles from the state border with South Carolina and only around 50 miles from the border with Tennessee.The campground is located just off US 64, one of the main roads through the local area, so you should have no trouble finding it. Hickory Nut Falls Family Campground is also situated on the banks of the nearby Broad River, so water access is easily available, as well. Some of the campsites even sit right next to the river, offering prime water views. The campground is open around the first of April through the end of October, and full-hookup sites are available.With a stay at this family-friendly campground in western North Carolina, you should have no trouble finding any services your group could need or want. There are bathrooms, showers, and a laundry room offered for guests, and you can pick up supplies at the camp store. There is also a playground for kids, a game room, and pets are welcome here.
