Theodore Roosevelt National Park is within walking distance of the campground, and once you've arrived, you probably won’t want to leave. If you'd rather explore from the comforts of your rig, take the camper rental on one of the park's scenic drives, which offer excellent views of the Badlands. Watch the bison as they roam the plains and find yourself a nice camping spot so you can hike around the area. A guided tour is a terrific way to learn about all the nature and history the park has to offer.Little Missouri State Park south of Mandaree is another option you can check out to see more of the North Dakota terrain. Another place to visit here is the Pioneer Machinery Hall with its historical gadgets. The Prairie Outpost Park is a nice place for a relaxing walk. The park also offers guided tours so you can learn more about the topics highlighted within the center.
