Stonelick State Park is not far from Cowan Lake State Park, with rolling hills and a small lake. Guests can take part in hunting, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, or camping while taking a trip to Stonelick State Park.Caesar Creek State Park is home to a massive lake, perfect for a whole host of activities. This human-made lake can be used for boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and more. The on-site nature center and the Caesar Creek Pioneer Village offer valuable insight into the history of the region, the abundance of wildlife and plants found within, and anything else you might want to know when visiting the lush park.If you take a quick ride over to the small town of Chillicothe, you can see the Hopewell Culture National Historical Park. The area is packed with dazzling scenery and interesting history. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to some of North America’s oldest recorded structures, created by ancient civilizations thousands of years ago. Large earthen mounds, ceremonial structures, and dig sites are located on-site, with a lovely museum showcasing the treasures found in the area.

Dayton and Cincinnati are close to the campsites at Olive Branch, so you won’t have any trouble finding interesting places to visit while RV camping in southern Ohio. The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is an excellent place to learn about one of the most ominous chapters of American history. Hear the inspiring stories of the people who fled tyranny and oppression and the people who helped them along the way. Runaway slaves and people like Harriet Tubman are the central focus of this incredible institution.Nature lovers can visit the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, one of the most widely known and respected zoos in the world. America’s second-oldest zoo is much more than a place to see animals in captivity. Birthing centers, research areas, and a lengthy list of endangered animals are housed at the zoo, meticulously cared for by wildlife experts to protect, preserve, and better understand the animals of the world. Creatures you might see include African painted dogs, crocodiles, rhinos, and a variety of snakes, reptiles, insects, and other critters from all over the globe.The Cincinnati Art Museum is housed in a gorgeous building adorned with Ancient Greek architectural style featuring fabulous columns. The museum is one of the most prestigious in the county, with over 60,000 works of art found inside.
