The Clarion River flows through the park, providing opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, tubing, and fishing. Some of the fish species found here are rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, catfish, walleye, and brown trout. The park is a beautiful place to explore nature, have a picnic, or go camping. Here you can also enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, and hunting. Resident creatures include bear, deer, turkey, and squirrel. In the wintertime, Cook Forest State Park is a perfect place for sledding, ice skating, and cross-country skiing.Oil Creek State Park features lovely scenery, waterfalls, forests, and more. About an hour's drive northwest of White's Haven Campground, it is a perfect day trip destination when you're RV camping near Clarington. The park is home to the world’s first oil well, and while you're here, you can see historical sites dating back to the 1800s.
