Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
At this time we are meeting renters at the RV pull thru spaces at the Flying J Travel Center. Any other location will be approved on a case by case basis and picking up/dropping off is negotiable.
Q.
What camping supplies are provided with the RV?
A.
We provide pots/pans/cooking utensils, drip coffee maker, disposable plates/cups/bowls/cutlery, trash bags, one roll of paper towels, plenty of RV-safe TP, fitted sheet and one throw blanket and pillow per bed, cleaning supplies, toilet treatment tabs, awning lights, 4 camp chairs, and an outdoor table. If boondocking: a full tank of water. You will be responsible to bring food/seasonings/coffee, drinking water, kitchen/bath towels, heavy blankets like quilts or comforters, toiletries, & fun!
Q.
What is the difference between boondocking and camping?
A.
Boondocking = no electric/water/sewage hookup. Our rig runs the fridge, water heater, stove, and heater on propane so you'll maintain those amenities. The battery will run the lights and will be hooked up to a solar panel to keep the battery juiced (sunshine permitting). The fresh water tank will be filled with non potable water for washing hands, showering, and toilet flushing. One tank with conservative usage will last a family a weekend. Camping - full electric/water and sometimes sewer.
Q.
Can I tow your camper behind my vehicle?
A.
That depends. You'll need to research the tow capacity of your vehicle. Our rig is somewhere in the neighborhood of 4,000 lbs when fully loaded. We've pulled it with both a Suburban 1500 and a Ram 2500. Also, you'll need a brake controller because it's the law - you will need it to be installed prior to key hand off with us. We will loan our weight distribution hitch out with the RV rental.
