The Vaan is a well-appointed, custom camper with a modern aesthetic perfect for a solo traveler or two adults. The van's interior was designed & fabricated by architects with CNC milled components, premium finishes and tasteful details throughout.A convertible sofa/bed + passenger swivel seat create a spacious main cabin, ideal for cooking and lounging. Easily transform the camper to sleep mode by folding the sofa flat; magnetic window covers and a cockpit curtain provide privacy while sleeping. Access the ample storage space below the bench seat for luggage and camp gear. The kitchen galley boasts a large countertop with a 2-burner propane range and undermount sink with swivel faucet and 50L refrigerator. Behind the driver's seat stands a wardrobe fit for two, with matching large shelves and drawers for personal items. The Vaan is powered by 200W of roof-mounted solar panels and a Goal Zero Yeti 1000Wh power station, supplying charge to the refrigerator, recessed dimmable LED lighting, 3-speed roof vent fan and faucet pump. Charge your electronics directly from the inverter with multiple 3-prong + USB ports. Rinse off after an adventurous day outdoors with the roof-mounted / solar heated road shower.T1N Sprinters are known for their reliability, longevity and efficiency. Averaging 22-24 mpg, this van will get you further than most with less in the tank; the short body/low roof and superior turning radius makes this van drive/feel like a car, and maneuver easily around town and into tight parking spaces. What's included2x camp chairs, small camp table, fresh linens, blankets, cookware, utensils, enamelware mugs and dishes, propane tank. Airport pickup from Sea-Tac International available upon request. Delivery and pickup within a 10 mile radius of Eastlake, Seattle available upon request.RecommendationsThe PNW has endless adventure opportunities in the VAAN. Our favorite long weekend trips include biking on Whidbey Island, hiking and wildlife viewing in the San Juan Islands, exploring the rainforests and beaches of Olympic National Park, watching fisherman and eating seafood in Astoria, OR and dipping in the cold lakes in North Cascades National Park after a hot summer mountain hike. The VAAN does not require any hookups and is extremely versatile. For the best experience, reserve a tent campsite in advance. We also recommend making ferry reservations in advance during peak season if your trip involves the islands.Other things to noteNo smoking
No pets
No travel outside the US to Canada or Mexico
Camp or park overnight only where designated
We recommend reserved campgrounds, Forest Service roads, or BLM land

Meet your host, Alexander

Member since 2024

With roots on the East coast, I met my wife while living in Chicago and convinced her to transform a Sprinter van into the camper that would suit both our weekend jaunts and longer adventures. We have taken the scenic route from coast to coast and quite a few loops in between since we converted our van in 2018. We love long desert roads, cooking at coastal overlooks, and campfires on crisp nights. During the pandemic we found ourselves craving nature and headed west in our van to the PNW, settling in Seattle. Our family has since grown and we now take our toddler son with us adventuring down the road less traveled. See my listings for the VAAN, fit for two adventuring adults, that we are happy to share since our family has outgrown it.
