Guadalupe River State Park is well worth a visit with your Boerne rental motorhome. You’ll experience the great outdoors and a great sense of community here. Guided cavern tours include the Discovery Tour, the Hidden Passages Tour, the Lantern Tour, and others. There is also a zip rail and a ropes course, a 5,000-square-foot permanent outdoor maze, and a gem and fossil mine. Other amenities include a visitor center with a gift shop and cafe, the Discovery Center Trading Post, and a sweet shop.There’s a lot to explore at the Government Canyon State Natural Area when you are staying at one of the campsites at Top of the Hill RV Resort. This area covers over 12,000 acres and has over 40 miles of trails, a Discovery Trail, a 60-foot limestone bridge, a playscape, a gallery, and a pavilion. An interactive trail map is available for download. The area also features dinosaur tracks that are over 110 million years old and the 1880's Zizelmann House. Recreational activities include hiking, biking, picnicking, bird watching, geocaching, and nature photography. Ranger-led programs are held throughout the year and include guided tours, hikes, geocaching, night sky watching, and Junior Ranger activities.
