Appa is our perfect home on wheels. Tall people rejoice as the interior has a height of 6ft 6" and the bed can be converted to the length of a king sized bed! The van includes an indoor shower with hot water, a portable toilet, a 10" deep kitchen sink, a propane stove, and table for two. On the warm nights, there are two windows in the rear that can be opened and a MaxxAir fan above the bed to keep you cool. For cold nights there is a propane heater that is thermostat regulated to be sure you stay the perfect temperature.
The van has garage in the back under the bed that can easily hold multiple suitcases, and adventure equipment! The opening to the front of the van from the garage is covered with a curtain in case you need to carry longer items like skiis or snowboards.
This van is completely off-grid with a two solar panels and 200 Amp-hrs of lithium ion battery bank. Appa is really easy to drive with a medium wheel base of 148 inches and a back-up camera!

What's included

2x camping chairs, linens, sherpa blanket, 2x sleeping bags, cookware, utensils, full water tank, full propane tank, flushable porta potti, and window shades (both heat absorbing or heat reflective)

Recommendations

Mt. Lemmon/Summerhaven Tucson - A great place to escape, you travel from the cacti covered desert to the pine covered region at the top. Great place to go to escape the heat or see the snow!
Patagonia Lake - A beautiful little oasis in the desert where you can paddle board and relax!
Tubac - A unique little town with Southwestern style that you can enjoy shopping and great food!
Saguaro National Park - Two parks, one fee! There is an East and a West park with lots of great hikes and plenty of breathtaking views!
We have several more recommendations, just reach out and we would love to help you plan the perfect trip!

Other things to note

Doggos and kitties welcome! We love our pets and love taking them on our adventures and are happy to let you do the same.
We are also happy to let you take the van to tailgates or festivals but please do not smoke inside the van or nearby where the smoke could blow in. It is a small space and even a little smoke will smell up the van and it is difficult to get rid of.
Lastly, please do not try to climb on top of the van.

Hi! We are Kim and Bran and we love getting out and about in Appa, our Ford Transit camper van! Weekend trips to go hiking, paddle boarding around our favorite lakes, or just getting out to see the views of the Southwest is our favorite thing to do when we have time.
We first experienced van life in early 2020 with a campervan rental and we absolutely fell in love.
We are fortunate to have Appa and we want to share the opportunity to fall in love with #Vanlife too.

Overall a great experience with the owners and the van. We felt like we got a great value with this van. They were very accommodating and quick with communication.

Everything went super smooth, the check in, the vehicle, and the check out. Brandon did a great job with everything. The van was everything we needed!
Thanks for a great experience.

I am giving our rental experience a solid 5 stars. It was our first time
renting a RV. Hestia was very professional to deal with. When we picked up
the RV it was completely ready to go. Brenden explained the use of the
vehicle thoroughly. The RV was immaculate. We had zero issues with the RV
on our 4 day trip. Returning the RV was problem free. My wife and I would
highly recommend Hestia and Brenden and will rent from them again.

Using a camper van from Outdoorsy for our vacation in Arizona was an excellent experience for us, combining the best aspects of a professional renting contract with the sense of borrowing a friend’s vehicle. Kim met us at the airport and took us through very aspect of the van’s operation before turning it over to us. She also made a point of being available at any time while we were using it. We had a minor problem with the heater during our first night in the mountains (entirely our own fault I might add) and she was on the phone walking us through the process of resetting it. She was the obvious difference between an independent entrepreneur and an employee, and we appreciated everything thing she did to make our experience more pleasurable.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We are pretty flexible, just reach out. We both have full-time jobs so it can be a little difficult, so outside of standard work hours is preferred!

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
This van is completely off the grid with solar power and a water tank!
