The Stowe Recreation Path is a hiking, biking and winter sports trail that runs through the local forestland, and along some nearby waterways. Moss Glen Falls is located along the scenic, Route 100 that traverses much of the state, from north to south. A short hiking trail takes you to the falls, which is known to offer picturesque viewpoints. The Sterling Falls Gorge is another scenic area that was cut by flowing water. It provides views of another local waterfall.
