There’s nothing more exciting for kids than camping at the happiest place on earth. You can do just that at Disney’s Fort Wilderness RV Park. In addition to being a quick shuttle ride from the entrance to Walt Disney World, the RV park itself has magical activities to keep kids entertained all day. Hang out at the pool that features a waterslide & whirlpool spa or sign up for archery, horseback riding, or canoeing. At night, join Chip ’n Dale for a campfire sing-a-long and roast marshmallows around the fire for some wholesome family fun.

2) Ventura Ranch KOA- Santa Paula, California

KOA’s, in general, are a great place to camp with kids as many of the parks are tailored to families. KOA’s can be found all over the country, but the Ventura Ranch KOA takes family camping to the next level. There are plenty of activities that will make kids beg to come back year after year, including a 25-foot rock climbing tower, gem mining, and a giant jumping pillow. They also have group activities like the BigFoot Adventure Walk, movie nights under the stars, or a class that teaches kids how to make a real rocket! The property also offers fully furnished safari tents and tipis to rent to add to the fun.

The entire family will have an epic time camping directly on the white sugar sand beaches in the Gulf of Mexico at Camp Gulf. With the emerald waters just steps from your doorstep, kids can play at the beach all day long. Take a day off from the sand and ride the super water slide at one of two pools or hang out at the playground. There are also tons of family activities, including magic shows, pancake breakfasts, and ice cream socials. You won’t find a better location for your fun-filled family vacation.

4) Friendly Beaver Campground- New Boston, New Hampshire

The Friendly Beaver Campground might be the best on the list for kids over 12 since it has everything a pre-teen or teenager could want. Kids can choose from four different swimming pools or hang out in the teen game room that’s packed full with arcade games. There’s also a children’s activity room and even an adult rec room if the adults need a little alone time. Additionally, the campground hosts tons of themed events like Christmas in July, Hawaiian Weekend, a Mardi Gras party, and Saturday night entertainment. Venture away from the park to hit the beach just minutes down the road on Fenwick Island.
