The Outdoorsy Team is chock-full of born-adventurers, world travelers, and outdoor enthusiasts. So, we asked the team about their 2021 travel goals, and needless to say, they’re ready to get out and explore. Here’s where they’ll be going.

Miami

“I want to road trip to Miami. Goal would be to catch some baseball along the way (minor league games and, Astros, Rays and then Marlins) and then top it off with camping on the ocean in Florida. On the way back would be in Disney Fort Wilderness for a few days, New Orleans for 2 nights and then maybe take the long way home and catch a Rangers game too.” – Evan Hopkins, VP Global Sales & Customer Operations

Tombstone Territorial Park

“Tombstone Territorial Park in the Yukon, cause it looks gorgeous but I hadn’t heard of it before recently. Drive would be awesome through US and Canada, and there’s something about an amputated toe cocktail that I’d like to know a lil more about.” – Ryan Quinn, Co-Founder

Quebec to California

“I would love to drive from Quebec back to my home town, Valencia in California! If I had the time, I would take a longer route and go through South Dakota to visit some family on the way.” – Katherine Mallinson, Assistant Community Manager

Mississippi Blues Trail

“I was raised in Mississippi but moved away in my teenage years. My husband plays the blues, and I’ve never been through the Mississippi Delta. We’re planning a mini-trip, 3 days, cruising Highway 61 from the top of the state down to Vicksburg with the goal of knocking out a lot of places on the blues trail. Hoping to connect with BB King, Muddy Waters and, of course, some cornbread and greens.” – Cayla Layman, Program Manager

The East Coast

“I would love to get time to go out to the east coast, Maybe Maine or Rhode Island, I haven’t been in a long time, get some good seafood!” – Cristina Ayala, CS Team Agent

Colorado

“My husband and I have decided on taking the kids to a new state park every year. This year we are also going to take the kids to CO in December to see snow. We are planning on getting out as much as possible this year.” – Casey White, CS Team Agent

Los Angeles to Napa Valley

“LA -> Santa Barbara -> San Simeon -> Napa, collecting wine across the way.” – Chris Aragon, Senior Claims Manager

Maine to Florida

“I would love to start in Maine and travel along the coast to Florida. It would have to be fall, so I could see the leaves changing and then end up on the beach.” – Heather May, Claims Processor

Vancouver to Calgary

“My daughter and I are hoping to do a campervan trip from Vancouver to Calgary in March, will hit up Whistler, Revelstoke, Big White, Lake Louise and Banff!” – Stephen Sanna, Senior Manager of Partnerships & Affiliate

Canada

“Love to FINALLY take the trip from Banff & Lake Louise, Alberta to Jasper, BC with friends that we’ve been talking about doing for years!” – Tara Jean, Wheelbase Business Development Manager

Salt Lake City to Bryce Canyon

“A weeklong road trip from Salt Lake City > Mystic Hot Springs > Zion > Bryce Canyon is definitely in my plans for March/April this year too! I had to cancel my original plans for this trip last March right as the pandemic was starting, so this is my revenge travel moment. Which reminds me — I should probably book my campgrounds now. Haha.” – April Cumming, Public Relations Specialist

Concan

“I am thinking of a traditional Texas long weekend to Concan, Texas to float the Frio River and visit Garner State Park for some hiking!” – David Thompson, CS Team Agent

2021: The Year of the Road Trip

From Texas to Canada, the Outdoorsy team will be all over the map. And after the year it’s been, we can’t think of a better way to spend the new year.

Cheers to 2021, dubbed the year of the road trip (by us, anyway). Where do you want to travel this year? Sound off in the comments below.
