Professional photographer Taylor Burk recently went on the road trip of a lifetime when he and a group of seven of his friends decided to check out Canada from the seats of their bicycles—all in an effort to raise funds to reduce plastic waste in our oceans. As big fans of adventure, the group rented a Jayco Greyhawk from Outdoorsy and set out July 3 on their Tour de Crown ride.

“We relay-cycled across Canada in just over 8 days,” Burk says, describing the long coast-to-coast journey. “Jumping in the Atlantic ocean once we reached Halifax 6,223 kilometers [approximately 3,866 miles] later was unforgettable.”

The perks of having a home on wheels

Needless to say, Burk captured plenty of awesome photos and memories along the way. An endurance trip like that is exhausting though, so he also made a point to get in some rest whenever possible. This is where the comfy RV beds came in extra handy.

“I was thrilled anytime I had the opportunity to lay down in bed while on the road. The days were long!” Burk says.

Comfortable beds aside, there were other great things about having a nice RV to come back to after a long ride.

“Having all the space was amazing,” Burk says.“There were 8 of us and the roomy RV made the long distances more comfortable.”

The Outdoorsy experience

As you can tell from a quick glance at Burk’s Instagram feed, the cycling trip was absolutely incredible, but what about the group’s Outdoorsy experience?

They first found out about Outdoorsy via social media, and Burk knew it was an awesome idea from the get-go. “I didn’t have any concerns at all,” he says.“The website seemed secure and was well designed.”

His intuition was correct. “The owners of the RV were very friendly and helpful,” Burk says. The entire cross-country experience was smooth sailing.

Burk noted that he has no hesitation recommending Outdoorsy to friends and family. “I’d recommend [Outdoorsy] 100 percent. Having a variety of RVs to rent from—all in one place—is hard to beat,” he says.
