As the Super Bowl approaches, fans everywhere are trying to figure out new ways to enjoy the big game and all of the festivities around it. Since the game will be played with limited or no fans in attendance and many will be watching from home, sports fans are devising their own ways to make a day of it, setting up for that beloved tradition: tailgating.

Firing up the grill and packing the cooler full of beverages is as much of a part of the Super Bowl as the final trophy-winning touchdown and, fortunately, there are ample ways to set up your own tailgating experience either in or near your home.

In normal circumstances, some of the biggest setups include motorhome and fifth-wheel trailer owners who pull their rigs up hours in advance to set up massive footprints in the best spots. The smell of bbq, chicken wings, and beverages of choice lures in passers-by and the whole convivial atmosphere is an unforgettable experience.

But what if you could recreate that experience on a smaller scale at home? An RV delivery might be the answer.

Many Outdoorsy owners offer RV delivery right to a home or close destination and will walk through the entire operation and setup so you can feel confident in having the best RV experience.

How a Fifth Wheel Makes the Perfect Super Bowl Tailgate Party-Starter

Especially while staying home is more the norm than the exception, having a new way of enjoying the big game can feel like a luxurious treat.

A fifth-wheel trailer can be an excellent surprise with most Outdoorsy owners making the rental and delivery very straightforward. For this stationary experience, you could plan an entire tailgating setup with the trailer as the centerpiece. All you’ll need to bring is the food to grill and tailgating furniture to set up outside.

If setting up shop outside in the colder months isn’t as appealing, an RV delivery makes for a wonderful birthday surprise as well.

Outdoorsy has plenty of luxury Class B and A motorhomes that can really amp up a birthday experience, especially for those choosing to stay closer to home or wanting the ability to venture out in a small group. There’s a weekend adventure in the regular family van, then there’s a weekend expedition in a spacious 35-foot hotel on wheels.

How to Elevate an At-Home RV Rental

Let’s say you’ve picked out your trailer or RV, but you want to really make the entire layout special. There are endless ways to use the home base of your rental as the starting point for an entire party-like experience.

First, you’ll want to check the weather well in advance to see if any tarp or general covering is needed. Die-hard tailgaters will be out in force regardless of the elements and you’d be surprised how the right canopy and heaters can make even a blustery day feel comfortable. A good cover can come in handy on sunny days as well.

Part of the fun of a tailgate is watching other sports events throughout the day prior to the big game. Fortunately, many higher-end Outdoorsy Class B, A, and fifth-wheel rentals come with external TVs that pull right out of the exterior of the rig and run off of the vehicle’s internal power supply. Most are connected to a satellite tv system that receives many of the same channels you’d find in a standard cable connection (some even support streaming services). All you need to do is make sure your rental is set up in an open spot that has a generally good satellite range. (Range issues typically only apply to more primitive settings like far-off campgrounds and forests.)

All that’s left to do is to bring enough chairs, games, and food for everyone and you’re well on your way to a truly memorable tailgating experience.
