Are you ready for an electronic dance festival that’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before? Get ready to immerse yourself in hypnotic music, otherworldly art, innovative technology, and other wonders of light and color.
The Beyond Wonderland music festival first came to life in 2010 and is the brainchild of Insomniac events. It was envisioned to be a sister festival of Nocturnal Wonderland, also organized by Insomniac. The National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino was the venue for the first ever Beyond Wonderland Festival.
Through the years, it has been held in different west coast locations like Mountain View and Seattle. The festival spans one or two days and features performances by world-class EDM artists.
Festival attendees can enjoy various genres of EDM like Dubstep, Trance, House, Ambient and Drum, and Bass. The musical acts are performed on multiple stages positioned at different parts of the venue. Legendary headliners like Armin Van Buuren, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Loadstar have all brought their music to the event.
The festival has also become well known for its intriguing art installations, modern art sculptures, and quirky performance artists. So get ready to dance the day and night away at Beyond Wonderland in Southern California!
Tickets
There are general admission and VIP passes for sale for Beyond Wonderland. They range in price from $750 (General Admission early bird tickets) to $2,150 (VIP Passes). You also have the option to rent a locker to keep your belongings safe. Beyond Wonderland tickets can be purchased either during the pre-sale or the general sale. Pricing is likely to change during the pre-sale depending on the demand for tickets. Beyond Wonderland does offer meet and greet or backstage passes.

Transportation
Driving
A fun road trip with all your friends is a great way to get to the Beyond Wonderland Festival. So pack up your car or RV and get ready to enjoy some scenic views. If you’re heading to Southern California from the north, Highway 5 is the most direct way to get there. There are plenty of fast food outlets along this route, but you may want to bring your own snacks.
Parking areas
The organizers will provide free general parking close to the venue. Attendees are discouraged from parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Accessible parking is available for those who need it. Designated drop off and pick up locations will remain open through the duration of the event. Each day at the close of the festival, vehicles must vacate the lots to avoid getting towed.
Public Transportation
It’s easy and convenient to get around using public transportation. Some campgrounds and RV parks nearby provide shuttle facilities. Festival organizers typically offer shuttle options from nearby hotels and airports. Two-day and one-day shuttle passes are available to make getting to the venue hassle-free.

While it’s not possible to camp on the festival grounds, Southern California has several campgrounds and RV park options.

You will not find it difficult to find a park for your RV close to the festival venue. There are many favored and well-equipped campgrounds for you to choose from throughout Southern California. Depending on what you’re looking for, you can camp out near forests, lakes or hiking trails. So in addition to enjoying the festival experience, you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty of your surroundings.
Getting around
Festival attendees are encouraged to rideshare or carpool as far as possible. It’s a good idea to ask around and check if there are other people who plan to attend the event staying at your campground. This will help you get to the festival faster and minimize the number of vehicles accessing the venue. Some RV parks also offer shuttle services to nearby attractions, so you can check if they have the option to get you to the event and back.
What to pack
Clothing
One of the best ways to fully immerse yourself in the festival experience is to dress the part. Feel free to go wild and explore the theme of Beyond Wonderland. You’ll fit right in if you dress up as the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, or a butterfly. There are tons of other characters to choose from, so have fun with it and let your imagination go wild.
Gear
Large bags and backpacks are not allowed on the festival grounds. So carry a small pouch or fanny pack with all your necessities. Water bottles and hydration packs must be empty upon entry. It’s a good idea to take sunscreen, a hat, and a portable phone charger to get you through the day.
Health & Safety
As in the case of any music festival, it’s important to be responsible and stay safe. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and wear breathable, lightweight clothing. Make use of the water refill stations to stay hydrated. There is a zero-tolerance drug policy, and alcohol will not be served to minors.

Cooking
You cannot carry any food into the festival area, and cooking is not allowed. If you’d rather not buy food at the venue, you can fuel up at your camp beforehand. Most campgrounds and RV parks allow cooking. You may need to look into the amount of fuel you’re allowed to carry and other restrictions particular to each campsite in advance.
Restaurants
If you’d like to dine at a local restaurant, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for close to the festival venue. Southern California has a vibrant food scene, and you’ll come across many different types of cuisines. Make sure you enjoy plenty of the fresh produce that the area is known for year round.
Vendors
You’ll find a ton of food and beverage stations scattered around the venue, including vegetarian and vegan options. Also, there are roaming vendors selling snacks and drinks. Beer and liquor will be served in bars throughout the area. Cash, debit cards, and credits cards are all accepted. Be sure to make use of the free water stations to stay hydrated.
Safety
Security
Security staff will be present throughout the event to maintain a safe environment. You can rent a locker to keep your belongings secure. Lockers even come with universal phone chargers to power up your phone if needed. Your locker can also serve as practically designated meeting point for your group. The organizers provide lost and found services on event days.
Weather
The festival and celebrations will go on no matter what the weather conditions. The climate in Southern California can be on the unpredictable side. So come prepared for sudden showers by carrying some rain gear. Check weather reports a few days ahead of the festival to plan your clothing and equipment accordingly.
Medical
Teams of medical practitioners will be present at designated points throughout the festival area. They will also be making periodic rounds. Attendees are encouraged to visit one of the first aid tents if they feel lightheaded, nauseous, or ill for any reason. Maintaining your health in the heat will be imperative to having a good time. The venue will feature accessible restrooms, parking, and other services to cater to guests with disabilities.
