Introduction

Located 169 km (105 miles) northeast of Edmonton, Garner Lake Provincial Park is located in Alberta, Canada. The park includes Garner Orchid Fen Natural Area, which is an extension of the park. The park offers a variety of activities for you to engage in, regardless of whether you visit in the summer months or during the winter. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, like elk, deer, moose and birds.

Driving

To get to Garner Lake Provincial Park from Edmonton, take 103a Ave NW and Fort Rd NW to Manning Dr NW, proceeding for 8.4 km (5.21 miles). Then, take AB-28 E to Range Rd. 123 in Spedden, traveling for 156 km (96.93 miles). Next, follow Range Rd 123 to Township Rd 602 for 5 km (3.10 miles). You can then turn left on Range Rd 123, driving for 4.8 km (2.98 miles) until you reach Township Rd 602, at which you will turn left. You will then find the park on your right.

Garner Lake Campground

During your visit to Garner Lake Provincial Park, a stay at the campground can be an excellent way to relax after a day of exploring. The campground includes 37 unserviced campsites as well as 24 sites with power hook-ups. Each campsite offers a picnic table and a fire pit, and the campground includes bathrooms with flush toilets, showers and a playground. Sites accommodate various sizes of equipment up to 60 feet (this includes the tow vehicle). Reservations can be made online and firewood is available. Make the Garner Lake Campground your home base during your visit.
