Coheelee Creek Park Campground

Coheelee Creek Park Campground offers free camping for RV and tent campers year-round on its premises in Blakely, GA. All campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 29 campsites in total.
Generator use is permitted at this camping facility. Your dog is welcome to join you at your campsite but must remain leashed at all times.
Though there are no on-site amenities at this park, there are several activities for families to enjoy including fishing, boating, and the viewing of wildlife.

Off-Season

Historic Sites

George W. Andrews Lake is situated near to many of Georgia's most famous historic sites and attractions. Stop by to visit the Kolomaki Indian Mounds State Park for a day of outdoor adventure. Or drive to the nearby towns of Eufaula, Alabama or Cuthbert, Georgia to discover some of the mansions and culture from the antebellum era that permeated the region.
Some of the local historical sites are fee-based while others are free for the public to enjoy. Bring along snacks and drinks to share with your family and friends.
Since most historical sites do not permit entrance to dogs, this is one set of activities where pets should stay at home.

Hiking

George W. Andrews Lake rests in an extremely picturesque location, making it an ideal place for doing some hiking. Though there are no specially designated trails, you can chart your own course for adventure by setting off in whatever direction the wind may take you. What could be more fun?

Swimming

George W. Andrews Lake is one of many bodies of water in the region that are excellent for doing some swimming on a hot summer's day. Float your cares away under the warmth of the sun's rays or practice your best doggy paddle in the crisp, clear waters. Swimming is unsupervised here, so exercise caution when entering the lake and avoid water activities when the weather is not favorable.

After your swim, you can take a walk along the shore in search of souvenirs from the sea to take home with you. Bring Fido along for your day at the beach if you like. But in accordance with state laws, please keep your pooch on a leash.

Boating
