Guests will find Hearthstone Point Campground located approximately two-miles north of Lake George. Guests traveling from Lake George will take US-9 N. Veer to the right onto NY-9 N/Lake Shore Dr and continue for approximately two miles. The campground will be located on the right just beyond Clinton Inn. If you reach Flat Rock Rd on the left, you have gone too far.

Fort William Henry Museum and Restoration
Reconstructed Fort William Henry, located in Lake George, was an English outpost that serves as a staging ground for military attacks on French entrenchments in the 1750’s. Open daily from 9:30 am – 6:00 pm during the season, the fort is now a museum which invites guests to explore the fort grounds as part of a general admission or as part of a ghost tour. Guests should note that reservations are required for the ghost tour.
Guests spending time at Hearthstone Point Campground and Day-Use Area will want to pack their hiking boots. Located in the lovely Adirondack Mountains, this park has great hiking opportunities located nearby. One popular place to hike is Prospect Mountain which rises 2030 feet into the air and offers stunning views. Hikers will find a well-marked four-mile out and back trail to the summit. Although the hike can take several hours, it is suitable for both experienced and casual hikers.
