West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA

The Great Plains state of Nebraska has more to offer than expansive fields of corn. While there’s certainly a lot of farmland in the “Corn Husker” state, there’s plenty more to enjoy, and one of the best places to base yourself for that trip is West Omaha/NE Lincoln KOA in Gretna.

West Omaha/NE Lincoln KOA has full hookups for your travel trailer rental, including 50-amp electrical service. The sites here are large enough to accommodate RVs of up to 80 feet in length. But what really makes this campground great are the amenities. In the summer, you can cool off in the swimming pool or rent a bicycle to cruise around some back roads just outside the park’s gate. There’s even a mini-golf course for family-friendly fun. If you’re bringing pets along, there’s a park where they can run around and stretch their legs a bit.

Book an RV in Sarpy County, and you can see all that eastern Nebraska has to offer. A road trip through a Great Plains state also would not be complete without seeing some of its strange roadside attractions, of which there are many in Nebraska. The World’s Largest Ball of Stamps in Omaha, a Giant Paper Airplane in Lincoln, and a lighthouse strangely perched on the banks of the Platte River, thousands of miles from the nearest ocean.
