About Custom Camper Inc.
Independent
Pete & Sue opened Custom Camper Inc. in 1986 at small shop in Plainville, CT. In 1976, Peter had completed his training out at the Airstream Factory, and was working at Belle Camperland (now closed), an R.V. dealership. When Peter left to start Custom Camper Inc., he brought along his personal reputation for the best service, honesty, and treating customers right. The business quickly grew with no advertising, just word and mouth. In 1992, Pete and Sue made a decision to purchase a larger facility, that would include the largest store in the area, an updated air-conditioned service center, a wood shop, metal shop, full size truck lift, and most importantly, the addition of new R.V.'s for sale. Pete recognized the growing trend of SUV's, minivans, small trucks and 4-door 1/2 tons becoming popular with families. Custom Camper Inc. took on a role of offering a new type of light weight, easy to tow trailers to the market – Our Superlite Flagstaff Travel Trailers have been the #1 selling trailer in Connecticut for many years. Custom Camper Inc. specializes in these new SuperLite towables, and we continue to offer the absolute, hands down, best service in the state – ask any of our customers about our reputation as a dealership. Today, we continually operate as a true family owned + operated dealership, and we cater to your family. You will love the personal one-on-one service you get with us, and the ability we have to talk you through anything you may run into while your out camping. You will find Pete & Sue, their son Mike available every day, we answer the phones and talk to you when you come in. We are a local Southington small business and have happy customers from the entire northeast, and more – even Switzerland! We have customers & families that have been all over the United States with our campers, and we enjoy your stories, and we truely appreciate your “spreading the word” about us, our service, the select products we carry, and continue to grow and remain strong via your word of mouth! Thank you so very much! The best compliment we can ever receive is when you show off your products and tell others about your experience with us! So Stop in! and visit Pete and Sue, and see for yourself what makes our products so unique and popular.
