The Vaughan's RV & Custom Interiors Story Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. My name is Bryan Vaughan, founder and owner of Vaughan's RV & Custom Interiors. In 2001, I had my first experience with the RV world after retiring from the trucking industry following 21.5 years, going to work for a RV repair / rental company in Parker, AZ. I was hooked, as I learned that the RV industry was a perfect fit for me! My family did not really care for the desert heat, and we were living far from the rest of our family, so we eventually moved back to Iowa. I then helped start a dump truck service for a friend and operated a heavy duty semi wrecker for awhile, but I missed the RV industry. My wife and I were weekend campers and being my best friend, she started asking, Why don't you open a RV shop here? Initially my thinking was that the repair of RVs was too seasonal in Iowa, but my wife had planted the seed for what Vaughan's RV and Custom Interiors has become today. In June 2004, Vaughan's Mobile Home & RV was launched. After leasing space for a shop for six years, we built our first shop and changed the name to Vaughan's RV & Custom Interiors. In 2012, we bought the land where the new dealership was constructed in 2014 increasing our shop size to over 12,000 square feet. Because of my passion for the RV industry, and for people like my wife and I, who embrace travel on the open road, treating our RV's like a second home or sometimes our only home, my goal remains to provide our clients with quality workmanship and stand behind our work. We treat clients as if they are a part of our family, always working to exceed their expectations for the work performed. I feel that we have an advantage over most if not all of the other dealers in the area because my wife and I are living the RV lifestyle as fulltime RVer's for over 18 years now. We have lived in travel trailers, fishwheels and most recently our first motorhome. You can rest assured that the products we sell have been tested by ourselves or other RVer's so that you are getting the right product at a reasonable price. While my own family continues to wonder what I will do next, such as our expansion into the sales of quality used RVs and other vehicles, they are positive it will be a part of our growing central Iowa RV business.
