Overview

Juanita Lake campground offers a 50 person group campsite adjacent to Juanita Lake on the Klamath National Forest. The lake offers a unique combination of recreation opportunities including many water-based activities like fishing and swimming.

The 55 acre Juanita Lake is excellent for small rowboats, rafts, and canoes. There is a paved boat launch ramp, a dock in the summer, and fish cleaning station. No motors are permitted on the lake. The lake is regularly stocked with trout and has a bass and catfish population.

Nestled in the Cascade Mountains in the northern corner of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, the 745-acre Hyatt Lake Recreation Area provides opportunities for camping, hiking, fishing, and boating. Reservations are required for Hyatt Lake Campground (there are no first-come, first-serve campsites available). Day-use is on a first-come, first-served basis and permits may be obtained at the self-service pay stations located at the main campground entrance and Wildcat Campground. Overview

The campground is a large bisected loop in a dense stand of Douglas fir, cedar and other conifers next to Whiskey Springs Pond. The dense canopy from the Douglas fir trees filters the sunlight providing a good environment for a variety of ground covers. Tall shrubs and young conifers provide privacy between campsites. This campground has a classic "forest feel" to it. Beavers are said to live in the pond.
