Lake Austell is located in the eastern reaches of Arkansas, near where the borders of Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi all meet. The lake is convenient to visit when you search for an RV in Cross County and is approximately 40 miles west of the popular Tennessee city of Memphis. Lake Austell covers nearly 90 acres in total, is a great place for fishing and swimming, and often draws visitors from nearby towns during hot summer days.

The gently rolling hills of this part of Arkansas are often broken up by small lakes, dense forests, and intermittent swamp-like conditions. Lake Austell is part of the Village Creek State Park, and alongside Lake Dunn, make up some of the most popular destinations of the state park. The state park also offers state park RV campgrounds and has plenty of hiking, biking, and horseback trails to keep guests entertained. Lake Austell reached almost 30 feet at its deepest points, and a lot of its shallower sections are filled with fallen trees and plant life that encourage healthy fish populations.
