The Great Outdoors

Mandurah is the ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts, and one of the most popular parks in the region is Yalgorup National Park. This park sits just a few miles south of Mandurah and consists of nearly 30,000 acres of lakes, marshes, and woodlands. There are ten lakes within the park's boundaries that are great for birdwatching, with lookout platforms where you can spot over 150 different bird species. Several trails run through the park and range in difficulty, weaving through the woodlands and along the lakes. Despite the park's many lakes, none of them are suitable for watersports due to their fragile ecosystems.

Camping in Mandurah

There are a few Mandurah RV campgrounds to consider, many of which offer easy access to Mandurah and other nearby cities. Herron Point Campsite is one of the closest to the city and affords basic campsites with no hookups overlooking the serene Collins Pool. There are a few standard creature comforts around camp, including bathrooms. While there isn't much to do around this Mandurah RV park, Collins Pool is excellent for watersports, and the beach is only a short walk away.
