We are a small van rental company located just north of Seattle in Bellingham, Washington. Our location is close to the North Cascades Highway, a short drive to the San Juan Island or Port Townsend Ferries and the Tsawwassen Ferry to Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. Silver Star is a new Pleasure Way Tofino van built on the Dodge ProMaster platform. With an Automatic Transmission and 3.6L Pentastar gasoline engine the expected mileage is 17mpg. This van features a pop top and standard Westfalia style interior. Creature comforts include a 16000 btu externally vented propane forced air furnace and high efficiency electric refrigerator. The stove is electric induction and there is ample counter space for meal preparation. This van is powered by two 100amp hour Lithium Ion batteries and has 200 amp hour solar panels mounted on the roof. Safety features include 3 point seat belts, air bags in the front and two lap belts in the rear. The absence of rear 3 point belts restricts this van to children who are over 4' 9" in height as per state occupancy safety requirements. This van comes road trip ready with folding chairs and a small portable table. While the van sleeps four, two or three adults or two adults and children will be the most comfortable combination. If you would like to travel with a pet please consider one of our other vans. Every van will have the fabric and curtains steam cleaned, all counters wiped with sanitizing cloth and will have had an Ozone/UV treatment before your rental. The van you pick up will be spotless with all dishes cleaned in a dishwasher. We can provide freshly laundered sleeping bags and pillows upon request.
We purchased Silver Star with our long distance travel customers in mind and comes with a 120 mile per day mileage allowance. The van comes with a roof rack for mounting paddle boards but we do not provide securing straps.

Bob has the Tofino dialed with everything you need for a great trip.
The Tofino is in excellent condition and runs great.
I appreciated the tutorial at pick-up on how everything in the Tofino operated.
Bob also has an easy-to-reference 3-ring binder with pictures you can consult if you have additional questions when you are on your own with the Tofino.
Bob is knowledgeable about recreational areas and is a great resource.
We went to La Push for our trip with the Tofino and had a wonderful time.
