Fort Edmonton Park, near downtown Edmonton, has quaint, re-created historic streets and streetcars, and is lined with eateries, shops, and services.  Castrol Raceway is an exciting car racing track located just West of Nisku. Parks and walkways line the North Saskatchewan River, which winds its way through Edmonton and the surrounding area.  Edmonton Valley Zoo is a great place to take the family.

The North Saskatchewan River has great fishing spots, boating activities, and hiking areas. There are hundreds of small lakes and streams.

Hawrelak Park offers gorgeous walking and bicycling paths alongside the North Saskatchewan River.  Muttart Conservatory, in northern Edmonton, features beautiful gardens and walkways in pyramidal biomes.
