Made up of endless rolling hills, scenic roads, and freshwater rivers, there’s an abundance of outdoor and adventure activities to get involved in, including hiking and biking, boating, and wildlife watching.

Discover Spruce Grove

The Great Outdoors

Whether you're looking for extreme sports or simply want to disconnect from busy city life, Parkland County is the ideal place to begin your vacation with the Spruce Grove RV rental. The region offers a rich diversity of flora and fauna in the forests and gardens, between sparking lakes and pick-your-own fruit gardens.

Take your camper rental in Spruce Grove to the Kurimoto Japanese Gardens for a pleasant stroll around five acres of flowers. The area was designed by Japanese architect Dr. Yuichi Kurimoto and features a genuine Japanese design, complete with pagodas, viewing platforms, and a central tea house. Nearby is the Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary which hosts a diversity of birdlife and plants within its marshlands and pine forests. There are moderate hiking trails starting from the park’s nature boardwalk. Recommended trails include the Pine Knoll Trail, which leads to the only area of the park where jack pines can be found, and the Woodland Wildflower Trail, where visitors can find western wood lilies and fireweeds as well as paper birch, white spruce, and poplars.

One of the highlights of Alberta is the Elk Island National Park. The park is home to herds of bison, elk, moose, deer, beavers, coyotes, black bears, over 200 species of birds, and many miles of hiking trails through beautiful meadows and aspen forest. Aside from wildlife observation, the park offers recreational picnic areas, a sandy beach, a nine-hole golf course, and boating and paddling activities on Astotin Lake. Visitors can also take the Spruce Grove motorhome rental for a scenic drive on the Buffalo Loop.

RV Parks

Rent a motorhome in Spruce Grove and get comfortable at the Diamond Grove RV Campground. This is a modern RV park located only minutes from the city center and 15 minutes’ drive from Edmonton Shopping Mall. Open all year round, the park offers spacious concrete lots with picnic tables, spread out over a 25-acre site. Guests have access to electrical hookups, water and sewage hookups, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, fire pits, basic WiFi, an on-site convenience store, recreational facilities, and the option of upgrading to a luxury ensuite bathroom. In the same area, there are many more RV parks where you can park your vehicle. The Camp n’ Class RV Park offers campers year-round or nightly slot rentals with full 100-amp hookups and all the usual services, as well as on-site mobile RV repairs. Nearby is the Stony Plain Lions RV and Campground. Open since 1989, this park donates its profits to support local projects in the community. The site offers peace and tranquillity and an option of full service hookups (electric, sewage, water) or just power and water sites.
