The Buena Vista Heritage Museum is a wonderful place to learn about the area, with three different buildings under its care. The old courthouse is an amazing work of art, while the old train depot helps establish a picture of the early days in Buena Vista. There are model train sets, old photographs, antiques, and some natural history on display too.The Buena Vista Boulder Garden is a park with lots of unique rocks and boulders on which you can practice climbing. This public park is a great place to exercise, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and pick up a new hobby with your friends or family.Down in Salida, you can relax at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center, a lavish recreation center opened by the city. The city has the largest indoor hot springs in North America, as well as rock climbing walls, splash pads, hot and cold pools, and much more.
