The Great Outdoors

When you rent an RV near Falcon Meadow RV Campground, you’ll have your pick of the litter when it comes to visiting stellar parks in Colorado. Most areas of the state are rich with natural beauty, and the Colorado Springs area is no exception. Cheyenne Mountain State Park on the other side of Colorado Springs is a prime example of what the Centennial State brings to the table, with 800 acres of land once owned by homesteaders. Twenty miles of hiking trails, a nature center, and a campground are available for you to make use of when you bring your RV rental to this beloved state park. Mueller State Park is located deeper in the Rocky Mountains, so it’ll take some scenic drives through high mountain paths to reach it. There are plenty of activities to take part in while at this mountain park, like hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, and camping. If you choose to visit in the wintertime, you can even snowshoe, do some cross-country skiing, or go tubing.A quick drive south toward Pueblo will yield another impressive park, situated by the Pueblo Reservoir. Lake Pueblo State Park is an enchanting, lakefront park with over 60 miles of shoreline, ensuring that everyone can have their own small slice of paradise near the water’s edge. Fishing, swimming, hiking, boating, and stargazing are options when you're camping at Falcon Meadow RV Campground. If you want to see one of the state’s incredible national parks, Great Sand Dunes National Park is worth the effort and time. You and your campervan rental will fit right in at one of the park’s campgrounds, benefiting from heavenly views of the Rocky Mountains, along with the mesmerizing sand dunes that look out of place. You can hike through this fascinating natural landmark or sandboard down the lofty dunes.

City Sightseeing

Colorado Springs may not be as big as Denver, but it certainly fits the bill as a fantastic vacation destination with plenty of great places to eat, shop, and go sightseeing. Thanks to the nearby Air Force Academy, there are lots of aviation-themed places to see, like the National Museum of WWII Aviation that dives into the role that airplanes and jets played in the world war. Guests can tour the hangars containing real decommissioned planes from WWII while learning about these magnificent feats of engineering that helped turn the tide of the war.Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods are technically outdoor landmarks, but they should not be ignored when you are in town. The imposing mountain and the rocky garden are great to drive to and through, with sublime views in a testament to nature. Glen Eyrie Castle is a masterpiece of human-made design on the other hand; this Scottish-style castle has hundreds of acres and nearly 75 rooms, with awe-inspiring style and landscapes surrounding it.Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is not like any zoo you’ve seen before. Around 750 animals call this mountain zoo home, with great vantage points overlooking the city below. Few other places offer such amazing views while housing so many exotic animals in a confined area. When you book an RV in El Paso County and stay at Falcon Meadow RV Campground, you'll be in a position to explore all that this scenic region of Colorado has to offer.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
