The park offers several short, peaceful, scenic trips into the park’s unspoiled landscapes in these traditional flat-bottomed boats. You can also enjoy the 430 miles (700 kilometers) of trails on foot, on a bike, or on horseback, guided or unguided. You may find yourself in an ancient castle turned modern museum. You can also find many artisans at work in their shops or at the local markets making jewelry, working with leather, fashioning knives, and crafting the pottery for which this region is famous. Briére is also a popular spot for birdwatching and fishing.
