Fort Mountain Campground

You’ve been wanting to go on a relaxed yet exciting camping vacation where you can really experience nature for the first time in ages, but you’re not quite sure where to go? Book an RV in Murray County and go camping at Fort Mountain Campground in Georgia, and you can enjoy the surrounding wilderness. You’ll be surrounded by lush forests and a gorgeous little lake that’s perfect for both fishing or boating, and just enjoying the peace and quiet in the warm sun at the beach. Wander around scenic trails with your pet, have a picnic in one of the shelters while the kids are at the playground before you challenge them to a fun (but competitive) game of mini-golf. Perhaps it’s better for everyone if you let them win.

RV camping at Fort Mountain Campground is as comfortable and convenient as it is fun, which just adds to your chances for some real relaxation and recharging your batteries. Just look at the sites: most of them are pull-through and have both water and electric hookups, and some have sewer connections as well. You’ll also be able to use the restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities, so there’s no need to worry about that either. There are even a dump station and a camp store to make your stay at Fort Mountain Campground as pleasant as possible.

No matter how pleasant your stay is, you still need to get into your RV rental and explore the area. The city of Chatsworth is just around the corner and packed with great things to see and do. You can also drive to Spring Place and Eton or go big and visit Chattanooga or Atlanta, unless you’d rather spend your days hiking around Cohutta Mountains, learning more about the Trail of Tears, or go on scenic drives and exciting day trips, that is. You’ll also have the option of visiting local wineries and get an even better taste of what the area has to offer.
