A visit to Tugaloo State Park reveals a well-rounded state park with quality RV camping facilities and good views. Some of the park’s 105 campsites are lakeside. Therefore, if you are eyeing for a campsite with lakefront views, be sure to book in advance. Sites can be reserved up to 13 months before your trip date. All sites offer electric and water hookups for your RV.

Exploring the Area

Tugaloo State Parks convenient location provides a chance to explore the nearby areas with ease. Most of the surrounding attractions and activities are minutes away and are well worth a visit. Leave your motorhome rental at Tugaloo State Park and spend a few hours exploring Travelers’ Rest State Historic Site. Here history buffs will appreciate the 19th-century tavern and learn about the inn’s history. Located less than half an hour drive from the park, Toccoa Falls is a lovely hidden gem. It makes for a quick stopover for taking photographs during your RV excursion. Another interesting destination that can easily be combined with Tugaloo State Park is Lake Hartwell State Park 12 miles away. Sitting on the shores of Lake Hartwell in Northwest South Carolina is a good place to go fishing and hiking. While in the area, be sure to check South Carolina Botanical Garden in Clemson. With miles of recreational trails crisscrossing the display gardens and streams a walk through this 295 acres garden is relaxing and captivating. Besides the outstanding display plants, there is a geological museum, children’s area, and an art gallery.
