Review summary

Unreliable with service lapses
Host failed airport pickup, RV was not ready (2.5hr wait), left RV in unauthorized parking, and frequently canceled bookings last minute.
Driving experience compromised by defects
A tire blew out, airbag/seatbelt sensors failed, no hot water, shower and gray tank leaked. RV also had poor insulation, loud AC, and drawers opened while driving, not matching description.

1.0We had many issues with the RV during our trip with my wife and my 8 month old daughter. We even ended the trip earlier because of the bad shape of the vehicle. These are the many issues we had: At the start of the trip, the host did not pick us up at the RV at the airport as requested through the app. Instead, a friend of his came to pick us up and then drove us to the host’s house. Once there, the host was still cleaning the RV and we waited approximately two and a half hours in his living room for it to be ready. Once we began our route, about 30 minutes into the drive, a rear tire blew out and we had to change it on the highway. This was a tire that the host himself had helped us inflate and had not checked before the trip began, which ended up bursting the following day. (It was likely defective from the start.) The airbag and seatbelts sensors on the passenger seat were not functioning. We had no hot water in the RV throughout the entire trip. There was no insulation in the main bedroom to keep out the cold. There was even a hole in the wall through which cold air came in during the night, bringing the internal temperature down to 2 degrees Celsius. The shower had a water leak that extended from the main bedroom all the way to the RV entrance. The gray water tank was leaking. The air conditioning and heating units were so loud that they could not be used at night, as the noise prevented my 8-month-old baby from sleeping. The drawers would open while driving on the road. At the end of the trip, we agreed that I would leave the RV in the hotel parking lot where we were staying and that he would come pick it up within a couple of hours. The following morning I woke up to find the RV still in the same spot — in a parking lot where it was not permitted to remain overnight. In summary, the RV did not match the description or photos listed in its Outdoorsy posting. We felt as though we were in an entirely different vehicle than the one we had rented — one of significantly lower quality than what had been advertised.
