There are also several hiking trails so you can discover the Pokagon State Park’s wetlands, woodlands, and meadows on foot.You can also take a scenic drive to Harrison Lake State Park in the neighboring state of Ohio. It’s located in Fayette, among agricultural plains, rolling hillsides, and lush woodlands. The park is home to many species of birds as well as land wildlife, which you can spot from one of the park’s designated hiking trails. It’s also set up for runners with a three-and-a-half-mile lakeside trail. While the hills are buried in snow, Harrison Lake State Park makes an idyllic setting for sledding and cross-country skiing. You can even try iceboating on Harrison Lake or go swimming, canoeing, and boating during the summer season.
