With so many lakes and ponds in the area, fishing is a very popular activity in Elkhart and Middlebury. There is even fishing available on-site at the KOA, so you don't have to leave your campground if you don't want to. There are many places to fish throughout Elkhart County, and you can opt to rent a boat or just fish from the shore. Martin's Landing is a popular fishing pier on the St. Joseph's River near downtown Elkhart, and it's worth visiting when you book an RV in Elkhart County. There is also excellent fishing at many state parks in the area. Chain O' Lakes State Park is a short drive south of the campground and has several small lakes to fish in.For a pretty and relaxing day outside, visit Ox Bow Park, which is located along the Elkhart River. This park has several charming nature trails where you can go for a stroll. They also have disc golf and areas where you can play other sports too. It's an excellent place to come and have a picnic, go for a walk, or just enjoy the outdoors. It's also very dog-friendly, so it's a great place to come with pets while you're camping in an RV.The Ferrettie/Baugo Creek County Park is another popular park in the area where you can enjoy spending time outside. This park has a creek with a boat ramp if you would like to get out on the water. They are also known for their disc golf course, which is very popular among area residents. There are plenty of hiking trails to take you through the park as well as a picnic area. It's a great park for families as the walking trails aren't too difficult and there's plenty of room to run around.

The Middlebury area is known for its Amish community, and the KOA hosts a tour of the area where you can visit shops selling handmade Amish quilts, home goods, and much more. If you want to learn more about Amish culture, you can visit Menno-Hof, which is located in nearby Shipshewana and has exhibits that will teach you about the Amish lifestyle. The Amish Acres Historic Farm is another charming part of local Amish culture and hosts wagon rides, shopping, shows, and more. This area is also very popular for antiquing, and there are several charming antique malls in Middlebury and the surrounding area, which make for a great place to pick up new items for your home.In Elkhart, there are plenty of exciting cultural activities and fun things to do. The Wellington Botanical Gardens is full of lush flowers and plants and also hosts holiday light displays in the winter. The Midwest Museum of American Art is located here and is home to many Norman Rockwell pieces. The Ruthmere Museum is a historic mansion that hosts tours, and the National New York Central Railroad Museum celebrates the railroad industry in America. There is a gas station right next to the campground, so you won't have to go far to fuel up. There are Amish grocery stores in Shipshewana, and plenty of larger supermarkets in Elkhart. If you want to go out to eat, there are plenty of restaurants serving a variety of cuisines in Elkhart and in Goshen, which is a short drive southwest of the KOA.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. How does check-in work?

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
