Storyteller. Adventure-seeker. And family man. Love to travel and explore with my wife and kids.
Favorite trip of all time? Traveling in a Honda Odyssey Minivan with my then 14 year old son and 12 year old daughter from west coast to east coast and back - for 8 weeks. That trip was priceless. Discovering the glory of America while sharing with family my favorite places around the country. One of the greatest things I could ever do for my kids. Since then, we learned about RVs - and have traveled in much greater comfort while enjoying many shorter trips in the western US.
Love making new friends, learning new cultures and having fun with nature. After many years as a broadcast journalist, I'm now producing documentaries, teaching journalism and seeking great stories around the world. Am especially inspired by CBS newsman Charles Kuralt and his American stories from adventures "On the Road."
